Accelerated B.S. to M.S. Program

VCU offers a number of accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s degree programs that allow academically talented undergraduate students to earn both degrees in a minimum of five years by taking approved graduate-level courses during the senior year of their undergraduate program. Students in the program may count up to 12 hours of graduate courses toward both the B.S. and M.S. degrees.

The Accelerated Master’s in Gerontology is currently available in partnership with the following undergraduate programs:

B.S. in Health Services

This accelerated B.S. and M.S. program allows qualified students to earn both the B.S. in Health Services and M.S. in Gerontology in a minimum of five years by completing approved graduate courses during the senior year of their undergraduate program.

B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science

This accelerated B.S. and M.S. program allows qualified students to earn both the B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science (either concentration) and M.S. in Gerontology in a minimum of five years by completing approved graduate courses during the senior year of their undergraduate program.

B.S. in Sociology

The accelerated B.S. and M.S. program allows qualified students to earn both the B.S. in Sociology and an M.S. in Gerontology in a minimum of five years by completing approved graduate courses during the senior year of their undergraduate program.
